Care Instructions

All of our jewellery is tarnish resistant, however, care must be taken to ensure items remain in the best condition possible.

Sterling Silver Jewellery Care Instructions:

  • Try not to wear your jewellery while sleeping, exercising, showering or swimming as salt and chemicals will cause it to deteriorate.
  • Wear your sterling silver jewellery often to prevent tarnish.
  • Clean and polish your sterling silver jewellery regularly using a jewellery cloth or a jewellery cleaner designed for sterling silver such as Silvo.
  • When not in use, store your plated jewellery pieces in their packaging or in a dry place.

Stainless Steel Care Instructions:

  • Try not to wear your jewellery while sleeping, exercising, showering or swimming as salt and chemicals will cause it to deteriorate.
  • Clean your stainless steel jewellery using a slightly damp cloth and gently wipe off the dust, dirt or other substances, then dry immediately with a clean towel. Do not apply jewellery cleaners, antibacterial soaps and tarnish remover as they may contain corrosive agents.
  • When not in use, store your stainless steel jewellery pieces in their packaging or in a dry place.

Filled Jewellery Care Instructions:

Gold or white gold filled jewellery pieces are much more durable than plated pieces due to their extra thick layer of precious metal plating, however, please note that jewellery will gradually wear over time due to the effects of moisture, oil, sweat and oxidation. To prevent premature wear:

  • Try not to wear your jewellery while sleeping, exercising, showering or swimming as salt and chemicals will cause it to deteriorate.
  • Remember the 'Last On/First Off' rule, jewellery should be the last thing you put on after makeup/perfume/lotions and should be the first thing you take off.
  • Where necessary, clean your filled jewellery using a slightly damp cloth and gently wipe off the dust, dirt or other substances, then dry immediately with a clean towel. Do not apply jewellery cleaners, antibacterial soaps and tarnish remover as they may contain corrosive agents.
  • When not in use, store your filled jewellery pieces in their packaging or in a dry place.

Plated Jewellery Care Instructions:

  • Remember the 'Last On/First Off' rule, jewellery should be the last thing you put on after makeup/perfume/lotions and should be the first thing you take off.
